After much careful consideration for my move to a quadcore Intel cpu, I decided on the DFI Lanparty NF680i LT SLI T2R mainboard. This board is pretty much my only option since I have to have two free pci-slots when using two dual-slot graphic cards. I need two free slots for my X-Fi sound card and my Ageia Physx physics card.

Now this is a funny looking energy drink. I think most gamers that haven't been hiding underneath a rock (or been playing CS) remembers the classic blue mana potions. It definately looks refreshing and I think I'll order some just to try it out.

I'm waiting for a decent raid card for the server. I grew tired of fiddling around with software raid so I ended up getting a LSI Logic Megaraid Serial-ATA card with hardware raid. Unfortunately I don't have any PCI-X 133 slots, or any 64 bits slots for that matter, on the K8W mainboard but it should be enough with the 32-bit pci bus since the server isn't getting much traffic.

It never ceases to amuse me how ignorant some beta testers can be.
One of the old standard questions used to be "Do I have to pay for this game?". Until a few years ago I would like to have taken the biggest fryingpan I could find and bash their heads in, but now some games actually are free to play.. like Anarchy Online. Back when I started playing mmo-games the free2play games were usually crap.
