I just watched the Doomsday 2012 movie. What a waste of time. 1½ hours down the drain. Avoid it at all costs. Don't even bother to download it.
F-Class actors mainly (with 1 or 2 decent) and budget special effects.

I'll be taking the server down for maintenance soon to add the two new raid controllers, and maybe try a different blog system.

The second RAID card arrived last week. It's an Adaptec AAR-2610SA 64Mb, to complement the LSI Logic Megaraid SER523 64mb card. Unfortunately I don't have any 64bit slots in the server but it's the hardware raid functions I'm after anway.

One of the bigger it-related sites was the subject of a large denial-of-service attack during tuesday and wednesday. Apparently a "mature" user claiming to have worked with computers on a "daily basis for 30 years" got pissed off at a moderator and evidence is pointing towards him being responsible for the botnet attack that crippled the accessability of the site.

One can only shake his head at threads like this (in swedish).

I bought myself a new Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 cpu and I got the good SLACR stepping on it too :) After careful consideration I went with the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme heatsink since they didn't have the Scythe Ninja copper edition in stock. It would most likely have been too bulky and heavy for my mainboard anyway.

Oh well.. The new pc should have no trouble at all running Age of Conan. I just have to reuse my old case since I don't feel like buying a new one.

It's nice to see some interesting space news, but I'm not entirely sure it's a good idea to blast a hole in the moon with the new LCROSS project from NASA.
Anyone that has seen the new Time Machine movie will remember the scene when they build new "lunar apartments" and then end up messing everything up.

My LSI Logic 64Mb S-ata raid card has arrived. I'll be taking the server down for maintenance this week to plug it in and change a few things.

I also got my Gigabyte NF650 SLI mainboard today. A decent compromise since I didn't get the DFI Lanparty that I needed.

Well.. they sure know how to make good trailers.
The movie itself was one big YAAAAAWN. It's not a bad movie but it was just too boring.

Stay away from the Cohen brothers "No Country for old men"

The DFI motherboard is unavailable so I had to order a Gigabyte mainboard instead. It sucks having to go down to two 16x slots but thats my only option.
